George Duffield

Producer George Duffield, has been producing feature films under the banner of Arcane Pictures for 8 years. Feature credits include Summit's Dot the I directed by Matthew Parkhill starring Gael Garcia Bernal, which premiered at Sundance in 2003 and won the Deauville Audience Award and Milk. In addition he has executive produced Tonight at Noon, Black Box, and Live Free or Die. He has recently started producing documentaries including Olly and Suzi for the BBC's prestigious Storyville strand and Rupert Murray's The End of The Line, which has received a worldwide theatrical release, and has been called "An Inconvenient Truth for the Oceans" by the Economist. This film has had a major policy impact in the UK and he as launched an initiative to create a global network of marine reserves on the back of the film. He has already succeeded in enabling the creation of the largest marine reserve in the world. He is at the forefront of the new wave of film making, whereby films are agents for social change, funded with new dynamic models and released in innovative ways. Mr Duffield is an international award winning wildlife photographer and a director of the Grierson Trust. Mr. Duffield was educated at Eton and Harvard, and works in London. 8.

Meg Thomson

MEG THOMSON graduated from Harvard, where she was business manager of the Harvard Lampoon, and editor-in-chief of the Harvard Art Journal. She started her career working for Rysher Entertainment on studio films, including EVENING STAR, PRIVATE PARTS and BIG NIGHT. In 1996, sheproduced her first independent feature, MYTH AMERICA. In 1998, Meg founded the London-based production ARCANE PICTURES with George Duffield.  Under the Arcane banner, she produced several feature films including MILK (2000), which premiered at the London FF; DOT THE I (2005), which premiered at the Sundance, won the Audience Award in Deauville; and associate-produced LIVE FREE OR DIE (2007), which won Best Film at SXSW.  She recently completed WILD ART: OLLY & SUZI (2009) a theatrical documentary by Rupert Murray, for the BBC.  Meg is also Executive Producer of the London-based social media network HUB CULTURE, where she has produced web content ranging from business to art to climate from diverse locations including Copenhagen, Davos, Cannes and New York.  She is on the board of the charity Global Girl Media, and produced the exhibition for the WIE Conference, hosted by Arianna Huffington, Sarah Brown and Donna Karan.  She is a trained soccer player, ballerina, and fire-fighter.  She recently relocated to Los Angeles.
