Founded by George Duffield and Meg Thomson, Arcane Pictures' mission is to make powerful and moving films. Arcane is at the forefront of combining documentaries and the power of cinema to change the world.
Arcane is in pre-production with Cosmic Pictures on a giant screen IMAX about the holy city of Jerusalem. This is a an unprecedented education enterprise, comprising a spectacular 3D film for IMAX and Giant Screen theatres and a multi-year, multi-component, public education and outreach program.
Arcane’s wildly successful hard hitting documentary The End Of The Line continues to roll out across the world with a South African and South American release in fall 2010. The film has been converted into a global campaign to create a network of marine reserves, by Producer George Duffield and Exec-Producer Chris Gorell Barnes. The BLUE Marine Foundation is a UK charity and has already had it’s first big success enabling the creation of the largest marine reserve in the world, in the Chagos Islands.
